Another wonderful experience at the Carriage Way. So good to see Bill looking so well after all these years We pray you will continue on that path, Bill. It was wonderful to meet John and Jeanie. They made us feel so welcome. Diane, we missed seeing you and so sorry to hear when we arrived that you had passed. However, we felt your presence everywhere at the Carriage Way. You must be so proud of John and Jeanie, how they continue to capture the essence of what you and Bill started at the Carriage Way. The kindness, the warmth, the friendliness, their interest in their guests, the attention to detail in the decor and ambiance of your home, which on our fourth trip (after about 12-13 years) still makes us feel like it’s “home away from home”, as it did the first time we stepped over your threshold. It won’t be so long next time. You must be so proud of your family for continuing the tradition of excellence that you and Bill started. It shows the love thay had and still have for you. Keep watching over them. We’ll be back soon.

We have been looking forward to coming to the “Carriage Way” for months and you have exceeded our expectations. You home is beautiful and we have been treated as friends with every area open to us. We shall certainly return when we are in Florida again and will pass on your details and how hospitable you are to all our friends in Scotland.

Finally I am back. As a NATO-student from Norway, I came through St. Augustine in 1958 on my back to OGMS at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL where I stayed for a whole year getting educated on the Nike-Hercules Trade Radar System. Then I only got to see “the old School”. 51 years late (and still in my prime - I think) I am back with my wife Mona. Went up in the lighthouse, looked at the fortress and strolled the narrow streets of the Old City. We are so happy we picked the best B & B hee in St. Augustine. Having sailed all around the British Isles, I have visited many B & B’s all over England and Scotland - I mast confess this B & B is nicer than those in the old world - and the breakfast was superb, as was the dinner last night at the deLeon, a nice French restaurant, a short walk from here. Thank you so much for a great stay and an 11 hour sleep last night.

This is our second stay and though it is rare in film, this sequel was equal to the original. We have become accustomed to courteous service at B & B inns - a fact that makes them superior to ordinary lodging - but y’all are “Nice” and courteous. It is your friendly disposition and kind demeanor that sets you apart. The inn itself is lovely and the accommodations very nice, but we chose your B & B over the otheres because we like you, the faces, the smiles and the gentle teasing. We wish you continued success and a long, healthy life with which to enjoy it.

We will never forget your hospitality , our wonderful room and the best breakfasts in Town. You are so warm, loving and generous with your time and made us feel as if we had know you forever. I don’t think that Don and I could ever stay in a better B & B than this…you’ve spoiled us! This was the best anniversary vacation (48th) other than having our children w/us. Remember Jeanie, you can’t visit your daughter w/out stopping at the Ingraham Inn.

We stayedonly one night, but could have stayed one week. We visited the fort and walked and walked. Own went for a long run, and Alexandra (9 weeks pregnant:)) went for a sleep. We ate out at the “Columbia Restaurant” and tasted authentic cuban dishes. We had an early night and slept peacefully, until the wonderful smell of “grits” woke us up. We reached that point on our holidays’ where time is irrelevant and where going to bed early and rising early seems natural - we find ourselves relaxed and ready for the “Alligator Farm” - we have never seen alligators before! Thank you for the great tips to pack in so much in just a few hours.
