Stay at a St Augustine Bed and Breakfast for the Celtic Festival
Stay and enjoy the St. Augustine Celtic Festival. This will arguably be the finest International collaboration of Celtic Music and Art that the United States has ever seen and it is right here in St. Augustine. This Florida festival begins this Friday, March 11th and ends March 17th. While staying at the Carriage Way Bed and Breakfast you will enjoy a big homemade breakfast with freshly baked breads and choices to meet every traveler's appetite. Complimentary beverages are availabe at all times and delicious homemade cookies or brownies are brought out in the afternoon, perfect for that late afternoon nap or sitting on the verandah, watching the world go by.
John Meehan founder of Meehan's Irish Pub with support from Romanza has made all this possible. St. Augustine, Fl has very deep roots in Celtic History. Pedro Menendez, the founder of St. Augustine was from the Celtic region in Spain. Five of the Mayors of Spanish Colonial St. Augustine had Irish last names. The Catholic church in Spain appointed Father Miguel O'Reilly as the Colony's Vicar. Everybody becomes a little more Irish during this time of the year and St. Augustine has plenty to celebrate with this festival. Hevia, a premiere platinum-selling Celtic pop band from Aviles, Spain will be here. The best authentic Celtic Bands from Dublin Ireland will be on hand. Celtic folk-rock band, Black 47 from New York will also be traveling down to Florida for the festival.
The best thing about it all, is that everything will be just a few blocks away from our Inn and no driving is required. Park onsite and walk to everything. The venues are located within a 5-6 minute jig from the Inn. Carriage Way Bed and Breakfast is the better way to stay!
