Travel to St Augustine FL for Pirate Gathering 2011 for one of the fastest growing Florida events for the month of October. Plan on staying in St. Augustine lodging in the historic district in order to experience the fun and excitement of pirates for this weekend getaway. The festival is October 28th - 30th and competes with the Florida - Georgia football game and Halloween weekend in St. Augustine. Be sure to make your reservations early for this colorful weekend. This years event is full of pirate activities including a Parade, Land battles, Thieves Market and on Saturday a catered dinner and Buccaneer Bash. On Sunday there will be a pirate court, that should not be missed and more. Most of the activities will be held just a few blocks from here at St. Francis Field.
