It is historic times in the downtown historic district as the
Romney-Ryan ticket will visit St. Augustine on Monday, August 13th. Shortly after Governor Mitt Romney chose Congressman Paul Ryan as his ice presidential running mate, it was announced that they will both be traveling to St. Augustine for a campaign stop on the West lawn of the former Ponce de Leon Hotel, the main campus of Flagler College. Senator Marco Rubio and Governor Rick Scott are also expected to attend. Large crowds with street closures are expected around the campus Monday morning.

Parking: Historic Downtown Parking Facility next to the Visitor Information Center
If planning on attending the event, stay in the downtown area in order to beat the crowds. Carriage Way Bed and Breakfast located two blocks from the event has parking on site and offers a full breakfast with homemade breads and complimentary beverages. Carriage Way is the better way to stay!
