Stay in St. Augustine for the Florida Heritage Book Festival next weekend. It is a great opportunity to rub elbows with your favorite Florida writer, meet other book lovers, and get inspired to write your own book. The events for Saturday will be held at the Ringhaver Center on Flagler Campus, which is just a few blocks from the Carriage Way Bed and Breakfast. The Book Festival begins on September 13th with a Writer's Conference at the Renaissance World Golf Village Resort and the Keynote Speaker this year will be Jeff Lindsay. He wrote the "Dexter" novels, which was an inspiration for Showtime's long-running series. The 2012 Literary Legend will be Edna Buchanan and she will be honored on Friday the 14th at the Literary Legends Banquet.
In order to enjoy all of this week's Florida Book Festival events, stay in the downtown historic district. Brantley Gilbert will be in town for two nights for performances at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, so there is a lot going on this coming weekend. Enjoy the ambiance of St. Augustine and the wonderful cuisine of the area's great restaurants. Getaway to St Augustine, where Festival attendees will receive a special rate at our St. Augustine inn. Carriage Way Bed and Breakfast is the better way to stay.
